Our Policies
All policies and procedures are stated in detail and are included in our Policy and Procedure Manual. Please contact us if you have any inquiries or concerns regarding our policies.
Behaviour Management:
We believe that behaviour management and conduct by all staff, students and volunteers is a statement of our professionalism. Providing guidance strategies for children's behaviour assists in developing self-control, self-confidence, self-discipline, sensitivity in their interactions with others and ultimately social problem solving skills. Children's behaviour is influenced by their overall unique, individual development, their enviroments and the adults who care for them. Fundamental to effective management is the sense children have that they are in a nurturing and safe environment.
Arrival & Departure:
Parents need to accompany their child to and from the building/playground and retrieve belongings from his/her cubby. Please ensure that a teacher acknowledges you when dropping off or picking up your child. If your child is going to be absent, please call the Centre in the morning with the reason for the absence.
Drop-off & Pick-up:
Parents may pick up their child any time during the day; however, children will not be released to anyone who is not listed on the release form without written permission.
Financial Policy:
A non refundable fee of $25.00 is required upon registration, plus a 50% deposit of the last month's fee which is applied if proper notice is given. One month's written notice is required when you wish to withdraw your child from a program. Please note: There is no reduction in fees for absenteeism due to illness, inclement weather, school closures or statutory holidays.
Tuition fees:
Tuition is to be paid monthly in advance. Please make cheques payable to "Inspiring Minds Early Learning Centre" and should be delivered to the staff on the first Monday of the month. If tuition is not paid by the 15th of the month a 2% interest charge will be applied. A charge of $25.00 applies to all NSF cheques.
Vacation policy:
A Vacation allowance of maximum two weeks will be granted after one full year of admission (based on the child's anniversary of their starting date). The vacation allowance is based on two weeks worth of the child's regular schedule at the time the vacation is taken.
Vacation Allowance is not permitted to be used in conjunction with a withdrawal notice and does not accumulate from year to year if not used.
